Terms of Service

This is a plain-language summary of the rules for using StoriPath. We intend this to be a starting point and not a substitute for legal advice.

What StoriPath is

StoriPath is a tool that helps therapists, BCBAs, educators, and parents generate short cartoon-style social storybooks for children with autism. The stories are written and illustrated automatically based on information you provide.

Acceptable use

  • You must be 18 or older to create an account.
  • Only enter information about a child if you have the legal authority to do so (you are a parent, legal guardian, or licensed provider).
  • Do not enter sensitive medical, financial, or government-issued identifiers. Keep child information minimal.
  • Do not use StoriPath to produce harmful, sexual, violent, or discriminatory content. We may suspend accounts that misuse it.
  • Do not attempt to break, reverse-engineer, or abuse the service.

Not medical advice

StoriPath is an authoring tool. The stories, BCBA-style explanations, and any other generated content are not medical advice and are not a substitute for a licensed professional. You are responsible for reviewing and editing every story before sharing it with a child.

Automatically-generated content

Stories and images are produced by third-party content-generation providers. Generated output can contain errors, omissions, or inappropriate material. You must review content before use. We provide the editor for exactly this reason.

Your content

You retain ownership of the child profile data and edited story text you create. By using the service, you grant StoriPath the rights needed to host, display, and process that data for the purpose of running the product (including sending it to our content-generation provider).

Limits and changes

We may rate-limit story generation to protect costs and the service. Quotas can be raised by an administrator. We may change these terms; when we do we'll update the page and note the date at the top.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is". We don't guarantee availability, accuracy, or fitness for any specific purpose. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

Account termination

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time (see Privacy). We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
